Great to meet you!

Welcome! I’m Peter Wildeman, and I believe change can happen. And it doesn’t have to be intense all the time—sometimes, we don't have to dive deep in the past, but look to the future to find your goals. I work with people who are feeling stuck, stressed, or just plain overwhelmed, and I help them find new ways forward. My style is down-to-earth, direct, and human (because let’s face it, we’re all a little messy). Therapy with me is a judgment-free zone to open up and explore. Nothing is set in stone, its all perspective.

My approach to therapy

In therapy, I take a collaborative and down-to-earth approach—this means we work as a team. I’m direct, open, and focused on helping you reach your goals, not just talk in circles. I offer individual counseling and draw from evidence-based approaches like ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and Motivational Interviewing. We’ll focus on what’s getting in your way, build practical tools, and find new ways to move forward—at your pace, in your way.

What you can expect from me

On your first visit, we’ll take time to get to know each other and talk about what brought you in. I’ll ask some questions to understand what’s going on, what’s important to you, and what you’d like to get out of therapy. You can expect a conversation that’s open, honest, and pressure-free—We’ll start setting some goals together, and I’ll explain how I work using ACT, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing. Most people leave the first session feeling a bit motivated and a lot more clear about their next step.
