Great to meet you!

My name is Petra Gross and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia. I hold a M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Radford University. I have worked in the mental health field for 10 years. I specialize in working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and family of origin issues. My particular passion lies in supporting minorities and mothers through all stages of motherhood, helping them find balance, strength, and peace in their unique journeys.

My approach to therapy

I offer a therapeutic space built on empathy, compassion, and acceptance. I believe in providing a safe environment where my clients feel heard, valued, and understood. At the same time, I’m committed to helping you stay accountable, ask the hard questions, and work towards real, meaningful change.

My approach is eclectic, drawing from a variety of modalities, with a particular focus on mindfulness and self-compassion to help you center yourself and manage life's challenges.

What you can expect from me

In our first few sessions, you can expect to build a strong therapeutic relationship, clarify your goals, and begin feeling lighter as you take steps toward your growth. If you're looking for a supportive, nonjudgmental space to work through life's challenges, I’m here to walk that path with you!
