Great to meet you!

My name is Peyton Weiss, and I am a licensed clinical social worker, and I have been working in the field for 30 years. I specialize in the fields of anxiety disorders, depression, and relationships. I also run women's support groups

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach with clients is individualized. I believe that each person, couple, and family come with their own set of circumstances, stressors, unique look at the world. I do a lot of work in understanding your family history, how you were raised, patterns in your childhood, including any trauma. Some much of what we learn and internalize in childhood shape how we live in and cope with the world around us. Self-awareness is key.

What you can expect from our first session

Typical goals and outcomes you should expect when working with me is a greater understanding of yourself and your relationships, coping with stressors without becoming overwhelmed, the elimination of depressed and anxious thoughts by recognizing your triggers, improved communication skills, individualized coping mechanisms, and overall sense of peace and control over life and relationships
