Great to meet you!

Phallon Foxworth is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia. She received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Spelman College and her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine’s Graduate Medical Sciences Division. She has experience in conducting individual and group therapy in various settings, including correctional facilities, partial hospitalization programs, private practice, and community mental health agencies.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Phallon utilizes an integrated approach of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused, Person-Centered Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). She emphasizes the importance of making the therapeutic space one without pressure or fear of judgment. This essentially means that she believes in taking the time to pay attention to behaviors, making the space to validate feelings, and giving permission to truly explore how one's thoughts impact their reality.

What you can expect from our first session

In therapy with Phallon, you will receive assistance as you develop practical solutions, the opportunity to engage in processing and healing through EMDR, affirmations, new skills, develop further insights into who you are becoming, have a tool kit of coping strategies, solutions, and activities that you can engage in to support your growth. She believes in having a safe space to explore yourself, make mistakes, and be imperfect (in other words: be human).
