Great to meet you!

I'm a therapist who believes healing happens best when you feel genuinely seen and never judged. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and bipolar disorder. I also support clients navigating anger and impulse control, stress, identity, family concerns, cultural and ethnic issues, and the specific pressures that come with being a man or a woman today. Whatever brought you here, my goal is for you to leave each session feeling a little more like yourself.

Outside of the therapy room, I'm happiest outside. Gardening reminds me that growth takes patience and the right conditions, which is honestly how I think about therapy too. I also love losing myself in a good book, studying history to understand how people and communities shape one another, and yes, grabbing a microphone for karaoke when the moment calls for it.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative and practical. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all treatment, so I draw from several evidence-based methods and tailor them to you. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma Focused CBT to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and I lean on Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy to help you stay grounded when things feel overwhelming.

I also use Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Brief Therapy when you want momentum and clear, reachable goals, and Behavior Modification techniques when we're building healthier patterns and habits. What ties all of this together is honesty and warmth. I'll gently challenge you when it helps, celebrate your progress with you, and always meet you where you are. You set the pace, and I'll walk alongside you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is really just a chance for us to get to know each other, so there's no pressure to have everything figured out. We'll talk about what's bringing you in, what you're hoping to change, and what matters most to you. If you're nervous, that's completely normal, and you're welcome to share as much or as little as feels right.

By the end of our time together, my hope is that you feel heard, respected, and a little more hopeful about the road ahead. We'll start shaping a plan that fits your life and your goals, and you'll leave knowing exactly what our next steps look like. This is your space, and I'm here to help you make the most of it.
