Great to meet you!

I am trained as a licensed clinical social worker in both California and Ohio. I received my undergraduate degree from Denison University in 2009 and my Master of Social Work from Ohio State University in 2015.

I believe mental health work is for anyone and everyone. Whether a client is coming into the journey for an acute issue or ongoing routine for their enhancement, it is all valid and important in my mind.

My approach to therapy

My approach is very strengths-based and client-centered. I utilize a multitude of strategies that best fit my clients, including CBT, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing, among others. I believe in understanding my clients as people first, then building a plan based off of that ongoing understanding of them as the therapeutic journey evolves.

What you can expect from me

Therapy can be very challenging work, but it can be fun and enthralling to learn new things and new perspectives as well. My goal is to provide fresh ideas and provide objective feedback in new ways to open up new avenues for my clients. I am all about the therapist and the client being equal partners in the experience, and mutual respect is key to that. I am not your "head nod, say little" therapist. I will put in the work to the agent of change for my clients. If they bring honesty and openness, we can make foundational change.
