Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Massachusetts with a PhD in Developmental Psychology and an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have been practicing as a mental health counselor since 2018 and have worked in both individual and group therapy programs. I have also been involved in dual-diagnosis mental health and substance abuse therapy since beginning as a counselor. My doctoral dissertation was titled "A Qualitative Look at the Impact of Animal-Assisted Therapy on the Lived Experience of Recovery Home Residents with Co-Occurring Substance Use and Mental Health Disorders."

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy includes components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person- Centered Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Therapy. For people who suffer from substance use, I truly believe that most substance abuse is the result self-medication of the underlying mental health and trauma issues.

What you can expect from me

My goal as your therapist is to help you achieve a happy, healthy, and productive life. My trauma-informed therapy style in non-invasive with the goal for you to learn how trauma can impact your thoughts, behaviors, emotions and physical well-being. Hopefully, this insight will provide you with the ability move beyond the trauma and set goals and objectives to better manage and enjoy your life. We're in this together and I truly look forward to working with you!
