Great to meet you!

My guiding values are liberation and justice, and I strive to serve those values with everything I do as a therapist. I've been working in non-profit organizations with the LGBTQ+ community, people with a psychiatric diagnosis and unhoused people since 2006, and started practicing as a psychotherapist in 2018. My practice is focused on healing the trauma and attachment wounds that underly depression, anxiety and other challenges that limit our capacity to thrive.

My approach to therapy

The way I work is eclectic, spontaneous and laser-focused on identifying the life you want to live and helping you achieve that life. I use skill development, mindful awareness, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Attachment Focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (AF EMDR) to draw out your story, identify goals, repair past harms and eliminate barriers to choice. You'll clarify core values and expand your capacity to influence or change the conditions that are keeping you stuck.

What you can expect from me

I'll help you feel heard and understood, set some goals, identify some insights and improve the moment so you leave more settled than when you arrived. Therapy sessions are a small sliver of your time, so practice between sessions is often one key to healing.
