Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with more than 30 years of experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and substance use concerns. My approach is warm, collaborative, and solution-oriented, with a focus on creating a supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and understood.

I work with clients to identify practical strategies for improving emotional well-being, strengthening relationships, and developing healthier ways of coping with stress and life challenges. I also have advanced training in trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and brief solution-focused therapy.

I believe therapy works best when it is built on trust, curiosity, and collaboration, and I strive to meet each client with openness, compassion, and respect.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to the unique needs of each client. I believe meaningful change begins with understanding patterns, developing self-awareness, and identifying practical steps toward greater emotional balance and well-being.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, family systems perspectives, and trauma-informed care. My goal is to help clients build insight, strengthen resilience, improve relationships, and develop healthier ways of responding to stress and life challenges.

I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring difficult experiences while working toward meaningful and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a supportive and conversational environment focused on understanding their concerns, goals, and personal experiences. We will discuss what has been contributing to current challenges, explore important background information, and identify what clients hope to gain from therapy.

My goal is to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable moving at a pace that feels appropriate for them. The first session is also an opportunity for us to determine whether we are a good therapeutic fit and to begin developing a collaborative plan for moving forward.

Clients do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Therapy is a process, and we will work together step by step.
