Great to meet you!

I specialize in helping clients navigating trauma, anxiety, panic disorder, depression, LGBTQ+ issues, grief, & much more. I earned my MSW from New York University in 2011 and have worked as a forensic social worker in NYC at The Legal Aid Society & have also worked with Gay Men's Health Crisis, Services for the Underserved, Footsteps & Office of the Appellate Defender. I moved to Los Angeles in 2017 and have been in private practice since 2018.

My approach to therapy

I play an active role in therapy and see each session as a conversation in which we examine wherever you are at in that moment as well as continuing to examine whatever on-going stuff we've been exploring. I ask questions, actively listen and share my reflections. In a world where it can feel hard to speak freely, I view the therapy space as sacred and safe and want my clients to feel free to express themselves authentically.

What you can expect from me

Sessions with me should feel safe and supportive. At times, it can also feel hard, like work, because the truth is, self-examining is work! But it can also feel good and should feel worthwhile. It can provide relief by the sheer act of unburdening yourself or you can at times feel satisfaction in uncovering something that has felt perhaps subconscious for a long time.
