Great to meet you!

I've been working as a psychotherapist for over two decades. I studied at the University of Michigan and in 2001 I moved down to to start my profession in Tampa Bay, Florida. My life experience and experience working with people have been the most profound in shaping my practice. I find addressing past trauma as important and I often work with EMDR to assist this process. I work with mindfulness approaches and holistic healing methods as helpful in creating a fulfilling life.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I help people fully become who they are. This often involves finding and resolving the source of current distress. I find perspective shifts, letting go, and greater internal peace comes as we explore this. Often times mental health symptoms are messages about what needs attention. Listening deeply to oneself is incredibly helpful. I also guide people into becoming comfortable living as who they are versus living in ways that constrict and limit who they are.

What you can expect from our first session

After the first session clients will have tools to start building a healthier relationship with themselves. They learn how to open up and listen deeper to themselves and have a healthier perspective of their situation.
