Great to meet you!

As a licensed marriage and family therapist with over a decade of experience, I am deeply committed to the healing journeys of women of color, particularly Black women. My passion for this work stems from my belief in the transformative power of therapy and the importance of creating safe spaces for healing and growth.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and families, helping them navigate life's challenges and fostering resilience. I prioritize building strong therapeutic relationships, as I believe that trust and connection are foundational to effective healing.

My approach to therapy

My approach integrates various therapeutic modalities, allowing me to tailor my methods to best suit each client's unique needs. I also embrace the power of humor, understanding that laughter can be a vital tool in the healing process.

In addition to my clinical practice, I serve as a professor of graduate studies at NYU, where I am dedicated to educating the next generation of therapists. I am passionate about instilling the importance of cultural competence and empathy in future practitioners, ensuring that they are equipped to support diverse populations.

What you can expect from me

I am honored to walk alongside my clients on their healing journeys, guiding them towards empowerment, self-discovery, and a deeper understanding of themselves within the context of their communities. Together, we create pathways for growth, resilience, and joy.
