My name is Phyllis Rowe. I am genuine, empathetic, and non-judgmental. I'm also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years experience. My Graduate/Masters degree is from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a BS in Social Work & Psychology from SEMO State University. I serve children age 6 and older, adults, couples, and families. I provide Virtual (video) Telehealth Therapy with phone calls and/or texts if needed.

My primary methods of practice are Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I help clients to acknowledge and understand more of their strengths/abilities which assist with evolving themselves and more of the life they desire. Change is a process. Focusing on PROGRESS helps the PROCESS of change.

Your first session is an assessment of your needs and strengths which will helps clarify your desired outcome from therapy.

You will receive unconditional positive regard, active listening, confidentiality, a safe place, and changes in your life, relationships, and communication. You will learn coping skills, mindfulness, relaxation exercises, thought stopping; ID physiological stress signs, defense mechanisms, grief process, parenting skills, cognitive distortion, and positive self-affirmation.
