Phyllis Taliaferro LCSW-R is a seasoned psychotherapist. She graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Social Welfare. She acquired her Master’s Degree there. She has taught at the State University of New York at Farmingdale in the Community Service Assistant Department and at Old Westbury College in the Sociology Department.
She’s had her own practice since 1984. She has treated children adults and seniors. Phyllis works with Poppa, Police Organization Providing Peer Assistance. This program dealt with stress and trauma related to police work. She was also a Senior Social Worker/Therapist at Visiting Nurse Service of New York for seniors, over 20 years.
Phyllis has supervised Students from Columbia University, Skidmore University and Adelphi University. She is certified in Adoption
Competency. Phyllis is looking forward to helping you achieve a more enjoyable state of mental health.
