Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed clinical social worker with a passion for helping clients resolve conflicts, and repair relational ruptures. My 30+ year career has had specific focus on parenting issues, helping parents become more connected to their children, understanding family systems, and working in a school setting. My recent interests are parent/adult child relationships, caring for aging parents and addressing family estrangement.

My approach to therapy

Through building trusting relationships in a collaborative environment, I hope to help clients become less anxious, and more confident as they encounter daily life challenges and opportunities. I use a variety of evidence-based therapies such as Positive Psychology, Attachment Based Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy to help clients find new perspectives, build healthy relationships, and feel less alone on the journey.

I am interested in and willing to provide Christian faith-integrated support for those who wish to include it, while respecting each individual’s beliefs and preferences.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect Phyllis to provide a warm and non-judgmental, strength-based space that allows them to share their story honestly and confidentially so that they can be known and encouraged to reach their goals for personal growth and relational health.
