Great to meet you!

The needs of each client vary. I believe it is important to meet people where they are, rather than to insist on a specific course of action. One of my guiding principles is, "Assume Nothing." I find this allows a client's needs to unfold more naturally.

One of my specialty areas is the human-animal bond. Companion animals play an important role as members of the family. Issues that can be a focus of treatment: loss of a pet, illness of a pet, emotional support animals, animal advocacy.

I see individuals and couples. I'm available both in person and virtually.

My approach to therapy

I approach each individual with curiosity and acceptance. I see my clients as the real experts on themselves- each in the process of navigating the world and learning as they go. I actively listen, offer reflection, education and, depending upon the issue at hand, more directive feedback. I also use levity and humor at times, as it can be quite therapeutic overall.

What you can expect from me

I am actively non-judgmental and find it most therapeutic to provide clients with a safe setting in which to explore feelings, gain insight, and problem solve in a lasting and empowering manner.

I am in Sleepy Hollow and can see people in person.
