I am the founder of Nova Counseling Services, I have Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Barry University. As a licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida, Pilar’s career began in child welfare and family reunification with the Department of Children and Families. With a focus on dual diagnosis and substance use treatment, she is a Certified Addiction Professional and a qualified supervisor for social work interns.

My approach to therapy

My commitment to providing outpatient counseling is driven by her dedication to guiding individuals and families toward emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. I use various therapeutic modalities such as CBT, Trauma-Informed, Solution-Focused, and Strengths-Perspective approaches to work on presenting problems.

Client will take away from my sessions a sense or acceptance, relief, understanding, empathy, and compassion. In addition, a safe space to be heard and problem-solve their issues to improve their lives and feel better.
