As an LCSW practicing in NY for over 30 years in a variety of community, school, residential and hospital settings including practicing privately for the last 18 years, my extensive training and background has provided me with invaluable knowledge, privilege, and experience enabling a genuine connection with and ability to help parents, couples and individuals who are struggling with life stressors (including family and work life) and transitions.

I believe in an eclectic style, while working towards understanding our stories from the past and how these impacts on our daily lives and our bio- psychosocial/emotional functioning. That is, drawing from traditional psycho-dynamic models, viewing concerns through the Family Systems lens while helping clients find relief as they learn skills and acquire tools to manage, regulate, calm and understand their emotions as they relate to losses, grief, trauma and life transitions.

Utilizing a strength-based approach you can expect to learn (CBT, DBT) adaptive coping skills. Keeping in mind of course that there is no “one size fits all when it comes to therapy” I will be tailoring the treatment to the needs and goals we identify together throughout the process. I view the therapeutic relationship as a journey taken together as we work within the safety of our sessions but do not underestimate the value of the work done outside of the office.
