My name is Polline Villalobo, I am LMFT and a Doctoral Candidate, Doctor of Martial and Family Therapy. I have been a practicing since 2019 and have experience working with children and adults. I specialize in working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, challenging life transitions, stress, and grief. I am also interested in working with adult caregivers of family members with chronic illnesses. I am currently doing research on providing treatment with women diagnosed with breast cancer and other gynecological cancers.

My approach to therapy

my therapeutic approaches is person-centered and humanistic. I take the stance of being non-judgemental, empathetic, compassionate, direct, and collaborative. My priority is for you to feel safe within session and feeling comfortable with being your authentic self. The therapeutic modalities used in session include cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
