Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical social worker in Texas with more than 25 years experience including 6 years of training and practice as a psychotherapist and life coach. My practice specialty is borderline personality disorder and trauma informed interventions. I am nationally certified in complex trauma treatment and dialectical behavior therapy.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is that of an emotional crossing guard. I am committed to growing genuine, supportive and empathetic relationships through unconditional positive regard for the human experience. I believe people can be the experts in their own lives with some guidance and support. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, mindfulness and psychodynamic therapies. We will collaborate to develop a treatment plan that reflects your specific needs and desire for change.

What you can expect from our first session

Learn how your brain and body communicate with your mind. Calming an overwhelmed nervous system creates access to what you already know about yourself and offers you safe space to deal with what is difficult versus what is dangerous. Understand your attachment and learning styles and how they help you to nurture and accept all of the parts of yourself.
