Great to meet you!

I’m Prasanna Sharma, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion and evidence-based care. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington, graduating summa cum laude, and went on to complete my Master of Science in Nursing at UT Health Houston, specializing in psychiatric mental health.

With experience in both hospital and outpatient settings, I bring a well-rounded, holistic approach to treatment—considering emotional, physical, and environmental factors. I work with adults, adolescents, and children facing issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and stress-related challenges.

At my practice, I aim to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to thrive. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey to better mental health.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is centered around compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based treatment. I believe that every individual’s mental health journey is unique, and I take the time to truly listen and understand each client’s story, concerns, and goals.

I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves. My style is calm, supportive, and patient-focused—I work alongside clients to develop personalized treatment plans that may include medication management, lifestyle guidance, and therapeutic support.

I take a holistic approach, considering not just symptoms but also the emotional, social, and physical aspects of well-being. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, or life transitions, I aim to empower you with the tools and care you need to feel balanced, understood, and in control of your mental health.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave each session feeling heard, supported, and empowered. My goal is to help you gain clarity, build resilience, and feel more in control of your mental health journey. Together, we’ll work toward developing practical strategies that you can apply in everyday life—whether it’s managing stress, improving mood, strengthening relationships, or building healthy coping skills.

I create a calm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where you can speak openly and honestly. Each session is a space for growth, reflection, and real progress. Over time, clients often notice increased self-awareness, improved emotional regulation, and a greater sense of hope and well-being.

Ultimately, my mission is to help you feel better—not just temporarily, but in a lasting, meaningful way.
