Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges while discovering their inner strength and capacity for growth. I earned my graduate degree in counseling and have experience working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, and adjustment-related stress.

Throughout my professional journey, I have worked with diverse populations including adolescents, adults, and families. My experience includes supporting individuals dealing with trauma, grief, behavioral concerns, and substance-related challenges. I also work with clients who are navigating major life changes, relationship stress, and personal identity development.

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and solution-focused. I integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), emotional regulation strategies, and strength-based approaches to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I believe therapy should be both supportive and practical, providing clients with tools they can use in their everyday lives.

Clients often describe my style as warm, direct, and encouraging. I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental environment where you can speak openly about what you’re experiencing while working toward meaningful change.

Whether you are seeking support during a difficult season, working through past experiences, or simply looking to improve your emotional well-being, my goal is to help you feel empowered, understood, and equipped with the tools needed to move forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on helping clients build practical tools for lasting change. I believe that therapy works best when clients feel safe, heard, and supported while also being encouraged to grow and challenge unhelpful patterns.

I primarily use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused strategies, and strengths-based interventions. These approaches help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing healthier coping skills and emotional regulation strategies.

I tailor therapy to each individual because no two people experience life in the same way. Some sessions may focus on processing difficult experiences such as grief, trauma, or life transitions, while others may focus on developing concrete skills to manage anxiety, improve relationships, or build confidence.

My goal is to help clients gain insight, develop resilience, and feel empowered to navigate challenges with greater clarity and emotional balance. Therapy is a partnership, and I work alongside my clients to support their healing, growth, and overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, we will focus on getting to know each other and understanding what brought you to therapy. I will ask questions about your current concerns, life experiences, and the goals you hope to accomplish through counseling. This conversation helps me gain a clearer picture of your needs so we can develop a treatment plan that supports your growth and well-being.

The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about the therapy process and share what you are hoping to gain from our work together. My goal is to create a welcoming and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable speaking openly about your experiences.

Together, we will begin identifying patterns, stressors, and areas where you may need support. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a better understanding of how therapy can help and what our work together may look like moving forward.
