Great to meet you!

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported without judgment. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where you can show up as your authentic self, explore life's challenges, and begin making meaningful changes at your own pace.

I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Houston, along with graduate degrees in Public Administration and Health Administration. My professional background includes working with individuals navigating trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, PTSD, major life transitions, and complex mental health challenges. My experience spans outpatient mental health, crisis intervention, healthcare, hospice, and community-based settings.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed. I draw from evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing, to meet each client's unique needs.

I recognize that healing is not always linear, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Whether you're processing past experiences, navigating a difficult transition, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, I'm here to walk alongside you as you work toward healing, growth, and a more fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and the belief that every person has the capacity for growth and healing. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself, sharing your experiences, and exploring life's challenges.

I take a collaborative, person-centered, and trauma-informed approach, recognizing that your experiences, identity, and personal values shape how you navigate the world. I integrate evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing, while tailoring our work to your individual needs and goals.

I specialize in supporting individuals navigating trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and significant life transitions. My style is warm, conversational, and supportive, while also encouraging reflection, self-awareness, and meaningful change.

I believe therapy is more than simply managing symptoms. It's an opportunity to better understand yourself, recognize patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and create a life that feels more aligned with who you are and who you want to become.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a foundation of trust. I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you're unsure where to begin or what to say. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are.

During our initial session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy, discuss your experiences and current challenges, and identify what you hope to gain from our work together. We'll also talk about your strengths, goals, and what meaningful progress might look like for you.

You don't have to share everything during our first meeting, and there's no expectation that you have all the answers. We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable while working collaboratively to develop a plan that supports your individual needs.

Above all, I want you to leave our first session feeling heard, respected, and hopeful about the journey ahead. Therapy is your space, and I'm here to support you as you navigate it.
