Great to meet you!

I’m Dr Prisca Ughanze, DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of healthcare experience. I earned my Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Liberty University. My practice focuses on providing compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma, and other mental health concerns.

My practice focuses on providing compassionate mental health and primary care services to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, and stress-related concerns, using a holistic and patient-centered approach.

With a background in both primary and psychiatric care, I’m able to support my clients’ mental and physical well-being. I take the time to truly listen, collaborate on care plans, and empower each individual to achieve the best quality of life possible. I'm passionate about reducing the stigma around mental health and making quality care more accessible.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, holistic, and client-centered. I take time to understand each person’s unique story, background, and health goals. I believe in building trust and forming a strong therapeutic relationship, where clients feel heard and supported.

I utilize evidence-based practices and collaborate closely with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, lifestyle modifications, and coordination with therapists or other healthcare providers. My goal is to empower individuals to take an active role in their care, improve their well-being, and thrive—both mentally and physically.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling supported, with clarity and direction. I focus on helping clients better understand their symptoms, develop practical coping strategies, and feel empowered in their treatment journey. Over time, clients often gain improved emotional stability, increased self-awareness, and a stronger sense of control over their mental health. Each session is designed to build progress, foster resilience, and support meaningful, long-term change.
