Great to meet you!

It takes immense courage to enter therapy, and I am here to walk alongside you on that journey. My path to becoming a therapist was non-linear and deeply rewarding. Before transitioning into clinical social work, I worked as a IT professional, then lived overseas caring for family, and volunteering in community support roles. These diverse life experiences have given me a profound appreciation for cultural adaptability, systemic challenges, and the complex transitions we all face. I bring this perspective into the therapy room, offering you a compassionate, non-judgmental environment to explore, grow, and thrive.

My approach to therapy

As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Washington DC, I believe true healing begins inside a safe, collaborative relationship. My approach is deeply relational, experiential, and person-centered. I work with adults navigating life transitions, trauma, and complex emotional challenges, and I offer sessions in both English and Hindi. My toolkit draws from a range of evidence-based practices: I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness to examine patterns in thought and feeling, somatic and experiential methods to reach healing that lives below conscious awareness, and a relational-cultural lens that honors how culture, identity, and systemic forces shape your inner life. Each approach is chosen for you, not applied to you. My goal is to co-create a trauma-informed space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and empowered to move forward.

What you can expect from me

During our first 15 minute consult session, I will ask you your reasons for starting therapy now, answer questions you have about the process, and see if we are a good fit. Our first therapy session is yours to set the tone, and share what brought you here, what's felt hard to carry, and what you hope for. I'll listen without judgment, and share what working together might look like. Many clients tell me they feel lighter just having said it all out loud for the first time. You'll leave with a clear sense of what our work together could hold, and I'll answer every question you have. Come as you are.
