Great to meet you!

Hi! I am Qiana Paynter, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), licensed in California, Nevada, New Jersey, Virginia, and Indiana with over 16 years of experience working in multiple different capacities in the social work field including therapy and behavior management. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, anger management, self esteem/self love, and family conflict. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My approach to therapy

My counseling style is warm, interactive and client focused. I believe in treating everyone with respect and compassion. My approach is individualized and I will use the best modality to address your concerns. I have experience with using several different therapeutic modalities, but the most commonly used are cognitive-behavioral, solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and client centered therapy.

What you can expect from me

It takes courage to seek help with taking the first steps towards change and pursuing a more fulfilling and happier life. I truly believe you already have what you need inside of you to face the challenges and/or make the changes you want to make. You just need someone to help you tap into it. It is my hope that I can help you become the best version of yourself and help you realize that you can do and be whatever your heart desires.
