Great to meet you!

I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Forensic Psychology, and I’ve had the pleasure of working with individuals from many walks of life and in different mental health facilities (residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, etc.). Through these experiences, I’ve come to understand the kind of therapist I strive to be. Each client has helped shape my belief that therapy should be collaborative, grounded in trust, and responsive to the unique needs of the person sitting across from me. Without trust, insight and skills have little room to take hold.

My approach to therapy

There is a concept in chaos theory called "The Butterfly Effect", and essentially, this theory states that the smallest events can result in larger consequences in the future. This concept is similar to how we handle and cope with our experiences. The unresolved emotions you harbor in your heart can snowball into larger issues that can affect your mental health. Learning to "unpack" your experiences can be emotionally draining, and that's why I'm here to help! I strive to help you navigate through adversity, build your confidence, and empower you to begin your transformative journey to healing mentally and emotionally.

I offer empowerment to help you reach your goals. This is done by introducing you to methods to understand patterns of your thoughts and behaviors. I primarily use DBT, CBT, and Solution-Brief Focused, in addition to, Mindfulness Based strategies.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a space where you feel safe, heard, and genuinely understood. We’ll take time to explore what brings you in at your own pace, without pressure or judgment. My role is to support you in sharing your story while beginning to understand your goals and what you’re hoping to gain from therapy. Drawing from my professional and personal experience, I’ll meet you where you are and help you feel less alone in the process. From the start, our work will be collaborative, with me alongside you—offering guidance and support as you begin moving toward meaningful mental, emotional, and personal growth.
