Great to meet you!

I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with 13 years of experience supporting people with holistic, solution-oriented and participatory psychiatric and mental health care. My style is energetic, affirming, and collaborative, designed to help you feel safe, respected, and actively involved in your treatment. I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, mood challenges such as depression and bipolar spectrum symptoms, attention and focus difficulties, trauma and stress responses, panic, sleep disruption and relationship and family stress. I also bring a strengths-based lens to support clients through major life transitions, grief and bereavement and health-related changes that can influence emotional well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is grounded in safety, empowerment, and practical progress. We will partner to understand what has been happening, what you have tried, what is working, what is not working and what goals matter most to you. From there, we develop a personalized plan that may include evidence-aligned therapy strategies and medication management when appropriate, with an emphasis on reducing symptoms while improving coping, communication, and daily functioning. Treatment can draw from trauma-informed skills, structured approaches to problem-solving, motivational interviewing to support sustainable change and family systems tools to help shift patterns that impact your life.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect a warm, thorough intake that centers your story and your current challenges. We’ll review your symptoms, mental health history, relevant medical context, and key life factors such as stressors, relationships, sleep and any past experiences that shape how you feel and respond today. Together, we will identify the most important priorities for the next steps and discuss options in a clear, collaborative way. By the end of the visit, you will leave with a sense of direction, a plan for what we’ll focus on first, and the opportunity to ask questions about pacing, treatment goals and what support will look like moving forward.
