Great to meet you!

I'm Rachael Colley, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner focused on psychiatric medication management with a practical, skills-based approach. My path ran through teaching and nursing before prescribing, so explaining things in plain language comes naturally, and I care about what works in your real life, not just what looks good on paper.

Who I work with I see adults, teens, and children, with particular depth in ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, perinatal and postpartum mental health, and binge eating disorder. I provide neurodiversity-affirming care and have a strong interest in supporting people navigating a late diagnosis, both the relief of finally having answers and the practical work of figuring out what comes next.

I offer early morning, evening, and weekend appointments across Arizona.

My approach to therapy

Medication management is the heart of my practice, and I weave practical, evidence-based skills and psychoeducation into every visit. I also offer focused, goal-oriented therapy when it fits. For deeper or specialized work like EMDR or DBT, I connect you with a trusted therapist, and if you already have one, I am glad to collaborate as part of your care team.

I believe in shared decision-making, honest communication, and respecting your time. You will always know my clinical reasoning, and I welcome your questions. We decide together, and nothing happens to your plan without you understanding it first.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we spend time getting to know each other. I ask about your history, current symptoms, what has and has not worked before, and your goals for treatment, because I want the full picture before making any medication recommendations.

By the end, you will have a clear sense of my initial impressions, a proposed plan, and next steps, whether that means starting a medication, adjusting something you are already on, ordering labs, or simply gathering more information before deciding. You will never leave with a prescription you do not understand or a plan we did not talk through.

I also introduce one practical skill or tool in that first visit, so you leave with something concrete to use right away.
