Great to meet you!

Why is talking about myself the hardest part? I think you should know that I am very open minded in my values, goals, and ways of seeing life. I'm really not "anti" anything, the first to cheer on the underdog, and get really excited to find new adventures! I really love working with adolescents, young adults, and the neurodiverse population. I swear a lot, have a lot of experience with religious trauma, and get super stoked talking about finding ways to improve your life.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is that it be a place where you can lay down your defenses, guard, mask, shield, etc. and come to be your truest, most authentic self and know that it will be accepted here. This will be the place where you can bring your hurts, your wounds, your joys, your deepest thoughts, really anything you want to bring, and we will process it.

What you can expect from our first session

Well, the goal going away from therapy is up to you, right? I think some people have the expectation that you leave therapy feeling "really great", but that's not always realistic. Sometimes you're going to leave feeling really raw and emotional, especially early on, sometimes even angry. But this time is for you and so it's what you want to do with it. My hope for you is that you take away some skills, insight, and better methods to manage your emotions and feelings when you aren't here.
