Great to meet you!

I believe that effective therapy happens within the context of a safe and supportive relationship. With this in mind, I prioritize the therapeutic relationship in my work, emphasizing warmth, safety, trust, respect, and meaningful connection.

I graduated in 2016 from City University of New York with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling. I have experience in both private practice and community mental health spaces, working with diverse backgrounds on a variety of mental health and relationship issues.

My approach to therapy

My approach is Person-Centered, Pscyodynamic, and Trauma-informed. Specialties include PTSD and C-PTSD, relationship and attachment issues, anxiety, self-esteem issues, and depression. I have a lot of experience working with LGBTQ+ communities and enjoy working with both individuals and couples.

I am EMDR trained and have been using this intervention to help folks with trauma as well as other issues for 7 years.

For couples I have experience working with heterosexual, queer, monogamous and consensually non-monogamous folks. I have training in Emotion-Focused Therapy, an effective intervention designed for couples to manage conflict and promote healthier connections.

What you can expect from me

In our first session I'll work to create an environment that allows you to feel safe to open up. We'll discuss your concerns and things you might want to change about your life, or maybe specific symptoms that are currently troubling you. We'll work collaboratively to create therapeutic goals that feel achievable and in line with your needs and hopes for the future.
