Rachel Anauo

I love working with people who affiliate with Christian faith, no matter how well they are doing with it. I primarily work with women. Most of my clients are in New York State, but I can also see some clients who live in Florida. I have been a LMHC in New York since 2006, although I now live in Florida. I offer a blend where the professional, clinical part of counseling, spiritual growth, and encouragement merge. I have been living for Jesus for 30 years now and I love to help others walk it out well.

I bring vast personal and professional experience to our work together. I draw upon Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution-Focused, and Mindfulness and Narrative Counseling, and motivational interviewing for my counseling style. I meet people where they are in their Christian faith as a source of support to their counseling needs. I really enjoy using humor with those I work with when possible. I encourage all clients to utilize every resource available to them to get them where they want to be in life. I have a laid-back personality and will follow your lead for addressing your needs.

You can have peace and I am devoted to help you in the process. I have interests helping people through grief and loss, substance use/addiction concerns, helping those in ministry, as well as adult mental health care, including depression and anxiety and narcissistic abuse dynamics. I am comfortable discussing sexual matters and I provide education about various things that people are struggling with. I will often suggest "homework" and I like to offer group counseling, as well.
