Great to meet you!

I help victims of domestic violence including Narcissistic abuse; trauma bonds, post separation abuse and high conflict divorce/parenting. I am passionate about women's issues including single-motherhood and prenatal/postpartum mental health. I enjoy working with seniors and their caregivers. I have significant experience working with severe mental illness including dual diagnosis and substance abuse.

I am a Licensed clinical social worker independently practicing since 2011. Over the last 15 years; I have worked primarily with substance abuse; domestic violence, dual diagnosis and other severe mental illnesses. I incorporate spirituality into sessions for those who desire.

I am described by others as compassionate; empathetic and warm I believe the client is the expert in their own recovery.

My approach to therapy

I use an eclectic and strength- based approach including CBT, solution focused models; and motivational interviewing models. I believe each client has the ability to uncover their own strengths and insights with the therapist as a guide. I will be pursuing EMDR, DBT and other models in the coming months.

What you can expect from me

During our first session; I will get to know your background and discuss what you would like to work on towards recovery. I believe the client should be an active participant in their treatment plan; setting goals; identifying triggers and coping skills together. I utilize assessment tools to monitor progress.
