Great to meet you!

Therapy can improve our lives and unlock the potential we have to be our best, most expansive selves.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with nearly 20 years experience that includes school counseling, mental health, and feeding therapy. I am knowledgeable about sensory processing differences and other neurodivergence, comorbidity, DIR/Floortime, developmental feeding skills and ARFID.

My approach to therapy

Therapy at its best is empowering. I support my clients' agency in developing a therapeutic plan that works for them - this includes setting priorities, scheduling preferences, the pace/tone of sessions, etc.

Sessions are collaborative and exploratory. Session structures may differ widely depending on the goals. For instance, feeding or eating therapy may include talk therapy as well as activities (working with foods, baking/cooking, messy play). Parent coaching may contain more psychoeducation and direct suggestions than counseling.

Therapeutic techniques are adjusted for age/ability, preferences and the clients' goals.

What you can expect from me

The first session is all about getting to know one another and beginning to build trust. I give clear information about what clients can expect from me and we set the framework for working together. I'll listen to your story, why you are seeking therapy and what you are hoping to gain. Sharing yourself with others (especially a new person!) can feel vulnerable. I will work to help you feel safe, comfortable and accepted for who you are.
