Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Rachel. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about helping people achieve their goals through the therapeutic process. I’m especially passionate about healing trauma/PTSD. Maybe you’ve been in therapy a while but feel stuck in your trauma progress or maybe you’re brand new to therapy or even overwhelmed at the idea of getting started in therapy. Regardless of where you’re at in your therapy journey, my mission is to provide you with a safe, warm, and confidential space and to meet you where you’re at and guide you through your healing journey.

My approach to therapy

My style is warm and authentic. I use a collaborative approach to work together to define your therapy goals. Once we have the goals you want to work on, I utilize whole-body trauma healing techniques and I teach coping skills to manage the daily symptoms you might be struggling with. The modalities I use are Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Emotional Freedom Techniques, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and techniques from Polyvagal theory. My approach is especially fitting for individuals who have been in therapy for a while but feel stuck in their trauma progress. I go beyond traditional talk therapy, which often isn't effective enough for trauma treatment, and I get to the root of your trauma so that healing can begin.

What you can expect from me

First and foremost, I want to get to know you and the goals you have for therapy. I want to make sure your voice is heard and that you leave the session feeling seen, respected and valued as a person. I may ask you some unfished intake questions but I generally like to spend the first session getting to know what is important to you. I respect timing and understand that it may take a while to discuss some topics, and that's okay!
