Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Rachel! I genuinely love what I do and feel grateful to be invited into people’s lives during some of their most vulnerable seasons. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 14 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families in private practice, nonprofit, and behavioral healthcare settings. I specialize in anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationships, boundaries, self-esteem, and feeling overwhelmed or stuck.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and practical. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself, while also knowing I’ll gently challenge you when it can help you grow. I use approaches like CBT, strengths-based therapy, mindfulness, and psychoeducation to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns and develop tools that feel realistic for your everyday life. I don’t believe therapy is one-size-fits-all, so we’ll work together to find what feels most helpful for you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is really about getting to know you and what's on your heart. I am interested in learning what brought you to therapy, what’s been feeling difficult, and what you hope might be different. I want you to feel comfortable, heard, and never judged or rushed. Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals and patterns that may be keeping you stuck, while also recognizing the strengths you already bring with you. My hope is that even after our first conversation, you leave feeling a little more understood, hopeful, and clear about where we can go from here.
