Great to meet you!

If you’re the one everyone leans on, it can be hard to admit when you’re tired, grieving, anxious, or just carrying more than you know what to do with. I work mostly with adults navigating grief, trauma, relationship and family stress, substance use concerns, and the quiet weight of being “the strong one.” I’ve spent over 20 years in community mental health, sitting with people through crisis, loss, and big life changes. With me, there’s no pressure to perform or have it all together—you just show up as you are, and we’ll face things together at a steady, honest, unhurried pace.

My approach to therapy

My style is warm, grounding, and collaborative. I help you slow down, make sense of what you’re carrying, and reconnect with hope as we build a way forward. I draw from a holistic perspective, strengths-based therapy, ACT, EMDR, CBT, motivational interviewing, Christian faith-based interventions, and Gottman-informed work, always tailoring my approach to your needs. Therapy with me is a place to be fully yourself—tired, angry, numb, overwhelmed—without judgment or any expectation to be “the strong one” for anyone else during our time together.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I’ll focus on getting to know you and what you’re currently holding. We’ll talk about what brought you here, what feels heavy, and what you’d like to be different, at a pace that feels manageable for you. You don’t need to have everything figured out—that’s what we’ll work on together. By the end of that first hour, my hope is that you feel a bit more understood, a bit more supported, and a little less alone with what you’ve been carrying.
