Great to meet you!

Rachel Finneran is a licensed professional clinical counselor who provides highly personalized and impactful therapy to ages 18+ in the Columbus, Ohio area. She uses evidence-based approaches to help clients navigate and overcome life stressors, achieve personal goals, and become the best version of themselves.

Rachel specializes in the assessment and treatment of ADHD, and has over 5 years of clinical experience working with various other concerns such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, eating disorders, OCD, gender and sexual identity, and grief. Rachel received her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University in 2015. She earned her graduate degree in counseling from Capital University in 2022.

My approach to therapy

Rachel believes therapy is more than just talking about your feelings — it is an opportunity to find practical and applicable solutions to life’s everyday stressors. Using a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), and motivational interviewing (MI) techniques, Rachel helps clients take control of their lives and find healing.

What you can expect from me

Rachel provides a thorough clinical assessment in your first session to gather as much information as possible in order to provide swift and effective treatment. Once clients reach out to Rachel and schedule, they will be prompted to fill out an intake form before their first session. They will spend their intake session discussing their background, mental health history, and goals for their therapy experience. Rachel and her clients will then collaborate to create their treatment plan.
