Great to meet you!

Welcome! I’m Rachel Higgins, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about helping adolescents and adults navigate life’s challenges, especially around substance use, anxiety, depression, trauma, self-image, and identity. I also specialize in supporting individuals through major life transitions—like entering adulthood—and those who are searching for meaning and purpose.

My approach to therapy

In therapy, I offer a warm, relaxed, and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel safe to be yourself. Clients often describe me as having a “chill vibe,” which helps foster a space where you feel valued, heard, and understood. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most powerful tools for growth, and I bring my authentic self into each session so we can build a genuine connection.

What you can expect from me

My approach is integrative and collaborative. I draw from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, mindfulness, meditation, and positive psychology. In our first sessions, you can expect a great listener who is fully present and committed to understanding your experience. Together, we’ll identify goals, track progress, and co-create a plan tailored to your needs and aspirations.
