At the core of what I do is helping people build a different relationship with anxiety. Whether you’re an adult navigating OCD, a young person overwhelmed by social anxiety, or a mom lying awake at night replaying everything you said that day (and wondering if you’ve ruined your child forever), you are very much not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.
I specialize in treating anxiety disorders, OCD, body focused repetitive behaviors - like trichotillomania and skin picking - and depression across the lifespan. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).
I’m deeply committed to evidence-based care, and I also believe therapy should feel human. I aim to bring warmth, humor, and honesty into the room. We will work hard, especially if we’re doing exposure-based treatment for OCD or anxiety, but we’ll do it together. I’ll never ask you to do something I can’t clearly explain or back up with science, and I’ll always respect your pace and values.
Our first session is about understanding what’s bringing you in and what you’d like to be different. I’ll ask thoughtful (sometimes very specific!) questions so I can really understand how anxiety, OCD, mood, or parenting stress is showing up in your daily life. If we’re talking about OCD or anxiety, I may ask detailed questions about triggers, avoidance, reassurance-seeking, or rituals, not to overwhelm you, but because good treatment depends on clarity.
At the same time, I’m not just here to gather information, I’m truly value building a relationship with you! Therapy works best when you feel safe, understood, and genuinely comfortable. I’ll be getting to know you as a whole person, not just a list of symptoms.
