Great to meet you!

I'm Rachel, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with four years of experience in the mental health field and a background in psychology and counseling. I specialize in neurodivergence and trauma, which means I spend a lot of my time with people who have spent years feeling like they were too much, not enough, or just hard to understand. If that resonates with you, I want you to know that this is a space where that changes.

My approach to therapy

I take a direct and relational approach to therapy, which means I'm not going to sit quietly and nod. I'm going to be present, honest, and genuinely invested in where you're headed. My training includes Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR, two approaches that get to the root of how trauma lives in the body and mind rather than just skimming the surface. I am a Registered Play Therapist, and I incorporate play techniques into my work because for a lot of people, kids and adults alike, words aren't always the easiest way in

What you can expect from me

The first session is really just about getting to know each other. I want to hear what's been going on for you, what you're hoping to get out of therapy, and what has or hasn't worked for you in the past. Fit matters, and I think it's important to be upfront about that. I'd rather we both know early on whether this feels right than waste your time figuring it out later. You won't leave with homework or a treatment plan, just hopefully a clearer sense of whether this is a space you want to come back to.
