Great to meet you!

My focus is working with children, teens and adults struggling to feel comfortable in their lives. This can range from learning to deal with interpersonal conflicts, accepting being neurodivergent and how to work with their brains, processing strong emotions, emotional dysregulation, trauma, anxiety, and even understanding their gender expression and sexual orientation. I want to serve diverse marginalized populations and create safe spaces that allow people to be their authentic selves.

My approach to therapy

I am a Person-Centered therapist. My role is to support you, my client, on your journey. I can help you gain insight into your inner strengths and give you opportunities to foster growth within yourself. I trust that YOU ultimately know what’s best for you, and my role is to help you reconnect with what resonates with your inner self. We go at your pace and I challenge moments when I can see you need the nudge forward to trust yourself.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding the journey that brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’re experiencing, what you hope to work toward, and what support might look like for you.

Most importantly, the first session is about creating a safe, comfortable space where you can begin to explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. There is no pressure to share anything you’re not ready to share. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation for everything we do together.

Sessions may look different depending on age and individual needs:

  • Children may explore the toys, games, and other materials in the room as a natural way to communicate and become comfortable in the space.
  • Teens may talk, play board games, use art supplies, or explore other creative ways to express themselves.
  • Adults are encouraged to use whatever therapeutic approaches and modalities feel most comfortable and helpful for them.

There is no “right” way to do therapy. My goal is to meet you where you are, create a space where you feel safe and understood, and work together to find what works best for you.
