Rachel Keefe

My name is Rachel (she/her) and I am an Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Asheville, NC.

I am passionate about treating anxiety disorders including social anxiety, health anxiety, general anxiety, and OCD. Many of my clients are tired of fear dictating how they live their lives and want to start living the life that they dream of. Experiencing fear can make us feel stuck, alone, and unable to move forward. If you are feeling trapped in a cycle of avoidance, rumination, or attempts to try and reduce anxiety, I can help connect you back to a life that reflects joy.

I use a combination of mind and body based approaches to help clients connect back to a sense of wholeness. I’m experienced in providing: Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Strategies (MBSR), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I specialize in the treatment of anxiety disorders and use a combination of these techniques to make treatment specific to each individuals needs.

Trying to navigate healing and change on our own can be an overwhelming task and having a supportive person alongside us can help us to head in the direction we want to go. I strive to be an empathetic, non-judgmental support as you work toward living life again. I provide tools to use daily that can help you manage even the most uncomfortable moments. I aim to help my clients be more in the present moment because fear doesn’t deserve to win.
