Great to meet you!

I am a trauma-focused and somatically oriented psychotherapist with more than a decade of experience working with addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, codependence, and the complex patterns that shape our relationships with ourselves and others.

I received my M.Ed. and M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and my clinical background includes extensive work in addiction treatment. My approach is informed by the Hakomi Method, mindfulness, somatic psychotherapy, and my training as a Kundalini Yoga teacher. I believe meaningful healing involves more than understanding our patterns intellectually. It also involves developing a different relationship with the body, the nervous system, our emotions, and our sense of self. My hope is to create a therapeutic space that feels both grounded and expansive—where you can better understand yourself, reconnect with your own inner wisdom, and develop the freedom to live from a place that feels more authentically your own.

My approach to therapy

I honor a collaborative process that encourages openness, integrity of self (something we often explore and build), and addressing your individual goals as they are met, and as they evolve. I work from a trauma-informed, somatic perspective, integrating traditional psychotherapy with mindfulness, body awareness, and principles from the Hakomi Method.

I have particular experience working with addiction and recovery, trauma, codependence, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I also work with people who may not identify with a specific diagnosis but feel stuck in patterns of overthinking, people-pleasing, disconnection, perfectionism, or difficulty trusting themselves, general malaise.

For clients who are open to it, I also make room for spirituality and questions of meaning. My approach is non-dogmatic and does not require any particular belief system. I see spiritual practice as one possible, powerful pathway toward greater connection, self-trust, and a sense of belonging within oneself.

Therapy with me is an opportunity and sacred container to slow down, find inner stillness, learn tools, become more deeply aware of what is happening within you, and develop a different relationship with yourself.

My goal is not merely symptom management, but to support you in becoming more grounded, connected, resilient and even joyful as we grow through the therapeutic journey and the journey of life.

What you can expect from me

We set the tone discussing the therapeutic container that we build together. We address goals, concerns, - I want the first session to feel collaborative, grounded, and useful.

We build a shared understanding of what you need and what might support you, and together we can determine the direction and pace of our work. I am mindful to create a natural tone to the session, as opposed to overly clinical and diagnostic. I go over simple, clear expectations and principles that I aim to honor throughout the time together. The space should feel easeful, flexible, safe.
