Great to meet you!

Hello there! My name is Rachel Lapidus, PhD and I am a psychologist providing therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. I specialize in treating eating disorders, PTSD, anxiety, and OCD. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention. I am certified in family based treatment for child/adolescent eating disorders.

My approach to therapy

In our time together, you can expect me to show up as my genuine self – keeping us focused on achieving your goals, while remaining flexible, warm and bringing in plenty of humor. I deeply value my clients’ individuality and autonomy and look to create a collaborative therapeutic space that encourages empowerment and reflection. I always aim for my practice to be trauma-informed, weight inclusive, and rooted in cultural humility. My goal is for every client to live with a grounded sense of freedom, fun, and self-assurance.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect that I will take time to get to know you as an individual, learn what you are hoping to gain from therapy, and work together to set goals that move you closer to the life you want to lead.
