Great to meet you!

We are a small counseling business that has been providing individual, family, and marriage/couples counseling services for all ages since 2015. Our focus is on developing emotional wellness and increasing compassion and love for ourselves and others. We are trauma trained to assist those individuals who are struggling with overcoming the impacts of abuse, neglect, or trauma. We also have experience providing services to clients in several areas of mental health including (but not limited to) Panic Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress, Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Personality Disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Marital Discord, and Eating Disorders. Counseling services are provided from a collaborative framework as we work with you to navigate this season in your life's journey and join with you in learning new skills, supporting growth, and gaining the tools needed.

My approach to therapy

We use a number of treatment modalities to meet clients where they are at. We also have a play therapy room to work with children, since play is their first language, and also for teens or adults who struggle with verbal communication. We view mental health through the lens of the word DISORDER. All major mental health diagnosis end with the word DISORDER. None of the diagnosis end with illness, sickness, disease, etc. You are not mentally ill! Once healing, support, understanding, organization, etc. occurs, then ORDER is established and the DISORDER and symptoms cease. Our goal is to help you bring balance back to your life and leave you feeling like you are standing on a solid foundation!

What you can expect from me

The first session is typically treated like an interview, so that you can leave with information needed to make a decision on whether or not you want to continue treatment and make sure you feel comfortable with moving forward with me as your counselor. It is also where symptoms and counseling needs are discussed to identify a preliminary diagnosis if needed.
