Great to meet you!

I’m a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in New York with a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University. As someone with a bicultural background, I provide therapy in both English and Mandarin, supporting clients as they navigate challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and cultural adjustment. I’ve worked with children, teens, and adults from diverse backgrounds, helping them cultivate balance, inner strength, and self-compassion in their daily lives. My earlier work in community mental health focused on guiding individuals and families to strengthen emotional regulation, improve relationships, and build coping skills.

I bring a deep understanding of how early experiences can shape our emotions and relationships, and I approach this work with warmth, authenticity, and deep respect for each client’s story. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely understood and supported as you explore new ways of healing and growth.

My approach to therapy

My approach is holistic, empowering, and collaborative, grounded in a warm and gentle presence. I integrate evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic therapy, and I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I view anxiety and depression as emotional responses that may be rooted in trauma or past experiences of stress, loss, or disconnection. Together, we will bring understanding and compassion to these experiences and create pathways toward healing and growth.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable and understood. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, explore your hopes and goals, and begin identifying what feels most important to you right now. I’ll also share how I work so you know what to expect as we move forward. Clients often leave the first session feeling a bit lighter, with a clearer sense of direction and relief knowing they don’t have to carry everything alone.
