Great to meet you!

I’m Rachel Moore, a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 13 years of experience. I earned my BS in Psychology and MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southeast Missouri State University, or SEMO. I primarily work with adults experiencing grief or loss, trauma, depression, anxiety, and women’s issues. I strive to create a safe, validating, comfortable, and supportive environment where you can feel heard and cared for.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in open communication. I want you to feel comfortable sharing your experiences while we work together to identify your treatment needs and goals. I use evidence based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I am also certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy through Evergreen Certifications.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we will begin exploring what brought you to counseling and identify the goals you would like to work toward. Together, we will formulate a treatment plan that reflects your needs and priorities. I will explain the counseling process and welcome any questions or concerns you may have. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, supported, and empowered with tools to navigate stressors and life challenges.
