Great to meet you!

Hello! I’m Rachel Navarro, LCSW.

It is a privilege to meet you. I know that taking the first step toward therapy can feel like a significant leap, and I am here to walk alongside you with warmth, respect, and a genuine commitment to your well-being.

What should you know about me?

Growing up, I naturally gravitated toward helping others—a calling that led me to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). My professional background is rooted in the belief that combining clinical expertise with lived experience creates a more authentic and effective therapeutic bond.

I serve a diverse population, including individuals, women, and families. My specific treatment areas include ADHD (including supporting parents of children with ADHD), anxiety, depression, and attachment issues. I also have extensive experience helping clients navigate complex life transitions, such as divorce, blended family dynamics, caregiver stress, and workplace challenges.

My approach to therapy

What is my approach to therapy?

My style is warm, interactive, and strictly non-stigmatizing. I believe you are the expert of your own story, and I act as a partner in uncovering the strengths you already possess. I tailor every treatment plan to your unique needs by blending several evidence-based modalities:

  • Client-Centered & Psychodynamic Therapy: To explore your feelings and the deeper roots of your experiences.
  • CBT & Solution-Focused Therapy: To reshape thought patterns and find practical pathways forward.
  • Motivational Interviewing: To build the internal drive for positive change.

I prioritize your comfort by following your lead on pacing and using the communication methods that work best for you.

What you can expect from me

What can you expect from our first session?

In our first meeting, we enter the engagement phase. My goal is to ease the pressure of feeling as though every "problem" must be solved immediately. Instead, we lean into the process of self-discovery. We will explore your personal goals and needs in a safe, compassionate environment. You can expect a session that feels supportive and respectful, where we begin identifying the coping mechanisms that will help you manage your specific stressors and thrive.
