Great to meet you!

My name is Dr. Rachel Nelms, I am a licensed clinical professional counselor and board certified art therapist. I specialize in working with people who have experienced grief and trauma across the life span as well as people who struggle with ADHD. I help by providing a safe place for you to process your emotions and honestly listen to your experiences as well as building on your existing strengths to help you heal. In our first few sessions you can expect to start to feel better, valued, and heard.

My approach to therapy

My practice is unique because of the combination of talk therapy with art therapy that helps to express emotions that sometimes there simply are not words for. I am passionate about this work because grief is something we all experience at some point in our life and we deserve the time to honor those relationships with our loved ones.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to take away practical and useful coping skills and mantras from sessions to apply to their own life and healing journey. I work with clients to collaborate on creating a safe and nurturing environment for healing and understanding.
